Collecting QI Data

To improve quality, you will need to collect data to know whether the changes you are implementing are making a difference. To collect data without a plan is a recipe for missed opportunities. In this module, we will discuss methods for determining what data you need and how you will collect it. Later modules describe the interpretation of quality data.

You will learn:

  • Describe the principles of effective QI data collection
  • Describe how to design a data collection system and associated forms
