Maternal mortality rates are increasing in the United States, driven in part by women with congenital heart disease (CHD) becoming pregnant. These patients require exceptional care, but can still have a good outcome if managed carefully. This course covers the impact of maternal cardiac disease on maternal mortality and 6 key principles for managing pregnant women with CHD.
