The purpose of this course is to assist the reader in the use of transesophageal echocardiography to manage patients undergoing heart or lung transplantation. In both procedures, right ventricular failure can be problematic.

Course Details

In this course, you will learn:
  • TEE scan for donor and recipient
  • Bicaval anastomotic approach to heart transplantation
  • The immediate post-transplant period and common problems
  • Lung transplantation

Method and medium:

Learners participate in the interactive learning modules by correctly answering multiple choice questions dispersed throughout. Learners will be prompted to try again if a question is answered incorrectly.
