Description:
Conditions other than hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or valvular aortic stenosis may be associated with obstruction and gradients involving the left ventricle and aorta. These conditions are less common than hypertrophic cardiomyopathy or valvular aortic stenosis. In this lesson, we will review the findings in the cardiac catheterization laboratory for subvalvular membrane and supravalvular aortic stenosis.
Note: This course is eligible for ACPE credit.
You Will Learn
- To interpret pressure tracings showing gradients associated with sub-aortic membranes
- To differentiate the hemodynamics of supravalvular aortic stenosis from valvular aortic stenosis
