Description:

This lesson will outline the most common congenital heart diseases of the left heart including coarctation of the aorta, aortic stenosis, and hypoplastic left heart syndrome. For each condition, key features and echocardiogram images will be presented. You will complete this lesson with a better understanding about CHD of the left heart and how to recognize it prenatally.

Note: This course is eligible for ACPE credit.

You Will Learn

  • Evaluate the key left heart congenital heart lesions commonly seen
  • List some of the diagnostic criteria as well as specific keys to aid in the diagnosis
  • Review classic echo images and standard views for each specific lesion
  • Discuss incidence and prognostic predictors based on fetal echocardiographic findings

Method and medium:
