Heart disease is a major cause of morbidity and mortality for women in the United States, yet there remains a significant gap in our understanding of the clinical features and pathophysiology of coronary heart disease in women. In this course, we explore our clinically relevant knowledge of heart disease in women and describe the current thinking regarding the history, appropriate diagnostic testing, and the treatment of coronary disease in women. As there are well-described health care disparities between women and men in all aspects of coronary heart disease, this lecture provides welcome additional knowledge and perspectives.
Learners participate in the interactive learning modules by correctly answering multiple choice questions dispersed throughout. Learners will be prompted to try again, if a question is answered incorrectly. The course will open in a new tab – to exit the course, simply close the tab.
