Description:

Lipid management in coronary heart disease has largely focused on reduction in LDL cholesterol with compelling clinical data in this regard. Triglycerides, however, are emerging as an important target for lipid management as more is learned about the details of lipid physiology.

You Will Learn

  • Describe the basic pathophysiology of hypertriglyceridemia
  • Recognize the signs of complications from hypertriglyceridemia
  • Identify the pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for elevated triglycerides
