Description:

Reading nuclear cardiology images requires experience, skill, and judgment. Review these classic introductory cases with Dr. Jamieson Bourque.

You Will Learn

  • To recognize typical findings in nuclear myocardial perfusion imaging cases.
  • To utilize standard nomenclature for describing myocardial perfusion zones.
  • To describe common artifacts that can influence interpretation.
  • To describe the contribution of the gated SPECT evaluation of wall motion to perfusion image interpretation.

Method and medium:

Learners participate in the interactive learning modules by correctly answering multiple choice questions dispersed throughout. Learners will be prompted to try again, if a question is answered incorrectly.The course will open in a new tab - to exit the course, simply close the tab.

Jamieson M. Bourque, MD

Dr. Jamieson Bourque currently serves as the Medical Director of Nuclear Cardiology. He attended UVA as an undergraduate and then completed medical school and residency at Duke. Dr. Bourque returned for a cardiology fellowship and joined the faculty. His research interests include coronary microvascular disease and methods of risk stratification in patients undergoing evaluation for ischemic heart disease.
