Cancer Prevention

Cancer Prevention is jointly provided by the University of Virginia School of Medicine and ‎School of Nursing and Next Generation Choices Foundation (or Less Cancer, lesscancer.org). Our web-based video courses focus on the importance of prevention and risk reduction in decreasing cancer occurrences as a vital part of the cancer paradigm. Many cancer risks include tobacco products, ultraviolet light exposure, asbestos exposure, specific contaminants, and pollution sources, and lifestyle factors, such as diet, exercise, and nutrition. Other risks, may include viruses and health disparities. Three course offerings are available at Cancer Prevention.
